perfumed notes, stone fruit, butter, nuts and nutmeg. In the mouth there are slight almond meal flavours, stone fruit, butter, cream, but the wine is quite warm, alcoholically, and lacks acid which lends it a touch of flabbiness. Hmm.

dragged out after various loire sav blanc to wash down fromager d'affinois...bit sulphur, stone fruit but funky notes, kind of marzipan/almond paste and some oak on the nose...In the mouth, at this stage, the oak is coming to the fore and dominating the wine - spice/oak etc. Hmm. Perhaps this should have been a shorter drinking window? Or I shouldn't chase Pouilly Fume and Sancerre with indifferent Aussie Chardonnay...

Pale lemon with ,gold highlights. Tartness - or the smell I associate with tartness - on the nose coupled with stone fruit, a little cedary oak, lanolin (eh?) and butter. In the mouth it's peach and apricot sliding into tropical fruit. Creamy mouth texture. Lovely.

Wine-Ark Cellar Club Tasting 2 - March 2011, Paxton Derwent Estates, Summerfield (Roof Terrace Australian Museum) : Nose: that chicken smell! some stone fruit, lanolin, funky animal smells, almost foxy Mouth: Cream, subtle pineapple, stone fruit. Abbreviated notes but this is fantastic. Lovely. Eminently quaffable. Not for long term cellaring but just jolly nice.
