Delicious. Had the 2006 version of this ~10 years ago but this was much more memorable and enjoyable, likely due to the age. Expectations were high and this wine delivered and drove the point home that I don't have enough Brunello. PNP with venturi into the glass. Minor bricking, tannins intact and lovely nose. Tart fruit with grippy tannins gave way to luxurious mouth coating rich fruit with food. No need to hurry to drink this, I think that CT …

Drinking really well. Cloudy ruby, with some bricking. Dark cherries, plum, blackberries, spice, leather, tobacco, minerals. Smooth and silky. Wish I bought more than a couple at $28 and this was the last one.

Dark purple with a bit of bricking. Leather, plum, blackberry nose. Nice complexity, smooth, supple. Very good finish, nicely balanced fruit and tannins. Agree that this is in a very good drinking window right now. I did not get this, but - "smells like a green twig" Ei

I have been enjoying this wine for 6+ years and had the last one tonight. Makes me want to preach virtue of patience. No more cloying sweet tannins. This is now big, finely structured with extraction on a medium frame that perfectly suits it with food. Fruit is present in good balance. Loved this wine only wish I had more. Exceptional QPR. Show me 30$ Brunel love of this quality today? I doubt it

Pen ink on the nose. On the palate, black cherry, cranberry, and notes of barnyard brett and sweet red fruit on the medium to long finish, with light tannins and moderate to good acidity. This is at its peak and ready to go out of the bottle. It's excellent, and it was an outstanding value at a little over $30.

Dark brick red, with a brick rim. Softly sweet and quite smooth. Nice concentration of fruit, nice balance. Still lacks a little tension and verve, but this is pretty delicious and is in a really good place -fruit in the forefront but nice complexity. Cannot imagine getting any better.

Dark cloudy red color. Aromatics of incense and herbs. Dark cherry and rich raspberry flavors with a cutting and lengthy acidic finish. Very nice.

Not up to expectations based on last year's tasting. Seemed to be losing intensity.

My fifth one of these over the past year and it has appreciated with each passing bottle. Now getting some more dirt and complication in the bouquet with a finer sheen and composure on the palate. Throw in a very nice finish with all those lingering Sangiovese florals and this really rings the qpr bell at $30.

Slight change for the positive over my February note. A little more Sangio identity coming through now in the bouquet. Modern in style but pretty darn good just on its own. Needed a good 2-3 hours of air before it fully blossomed.

In a perfect stage right now for my taste buds. Plenty of raspberries on the nose together with bluberry and dusty rocks. Nice touch of maturity with some leather. Not that massive on the palate, medium body, pepper, tannins well integrated and smooth. Old log fire ends it all.

This is a little diffuse and flabby and does not have the tension I expect in a Brunello. As others noted, this is easy to drink and paired well with food, but lacked some oomph and complexity to be a 90 point wine.

Still a youthful dark ruby color, about 60% saturated with a clear rim and quick legs. A few specks of sediment. It has a flourishing bouquet of raspberry and roses with a touch of prunes and white pepper. The palate follows suit and also readily shows the baby fat of such a ripe vintage. Tannins are fairly well resolved and the requisite acidity keeps the wine from the edge of over-ripe, leading me to believe more time sideways will be …

Liked this better than the last time around. On this tasting, found it to be relatively modern, full throated. Smooth, and probably drinking as well now as it ever will.
