Still fresh a quite oaky, medium+ body with medium finish. Tertiary aroma of Rio Mare tuna. Does not hold well in an open bottle 89+.

A lot of varietally correct flavors and aromas. Rich mouthfeel, crisp and clean. Probably some new wood treatment but not overly done. Definitely new world, but pretty and refined. Great QPR.

Very nice and a bargain buy. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this Chardonnay. It had a nice citrus quality to it without being over the top, but also a fuller flavor profile and mouthfeel. The majority of my experience in Chardonnay is in California and Burgundy, and this wine gave me some of the qualities from each while being unique on its own at the same time. I picked this up for $13 and we both thought …

Complex nose, a little bit of everything: high toned citrus, peach, melon, green apple, pinapple, honey, hay, guava, etc. On a tropical side overall, but having some burgundian elements as well. Not smoky or steely, that's how I would guess this is from the new world. Oak is well integrated and giving butterly richness to the finish. Medium volume of two layered (naked and mellowed) acidity is giving balance. The only downside is its 14% abv. Though it has enough …

Nez sur la poire, l'ananas, la pomme. Vin délicat, boisé très bien intégré, belle rondeur, équilibré et bien défini, assez profond.

Expressive nose with peach, mellon, toast and pineapple alongside some buttery scents. Medium to full-bodied with rich fruit, excellent oak/fruit balance, medium to high acidity and a long aftertaste. Very well made oaked chard at a great stage to enjoy but will age further.

Lots of exotic fruits nicely ballanced by crisp apple-like acidity; juicy mouthfeel; exellent match with gilthead seabream.

This will benefit i think from another 1-2 yrs in bottle. The last tasting note from the '10 vintage sums up my experience i think as another reference. Nose is nice with tropical fruit/apple notes. Palate is sharper with acid and has nice fruit mixed with a more subtle creamed/oak quality. That aspect is refreshing, as not over done (ie like eating bag of buttered popcorn). Enjoyed this tonight with food and price is reasonable. I would plan to have …

Vintus Portfolio Tasting (Burgundy Room, Columbus, Ohio) : Stinky cheese nose - a good thing. Thick, smooth, popcorn elements. Nice modulated fruit with pears and butternut squash. A good wine with plenty of interest. One wonders exactly what 'wild yeasts' are in Chile though.
