Koehler-Ruprecht Chardonnay Cuvée "Philippi" #R#

I rarely agree with myself, but my previous TN stands as delivered back then, if anything those 3 yrs of extra time made it even more elegant and sophisticated, utterly gorgeous and ethereal chardonnay from K-R.

cork crumble! so decanted twice; almost undeveloped color yellow/green; nose is subdued but very chardonnay, mineral driven, dry kindling wood, dried herbs (sage?), hazelnut, very elegant and almost nonchalant; supple and light on its feet, seamless interaction of minerals, nuts, dried herbs, elegant acidity gives it a lift, yet very chardonnay, it's a deceptively easy drink, a hint of barrique; it's almost underwhelmingly elegant, fantastic wine and i would never have guessed its age, seems almost 10 years younger.
