This was a really nice wine -- tannins and fruit had integrated well, and the finish was medium length and smooth. Unfortunately I don't have detailed notes, but I recall some nice berry flavors and a bit of smoke. I'm sorry I didn't buy 2 bottles of this.

Fruit Driven with alcohol in check. Blackberry, mild white pepper. Enjoyable and a crowd favorite. Good QPR.

Fruit-bomby, although the fruit tastes a bit fake. Lots of pepper with some smoky overtones. Some residual sugar. Upon opening it was rather disjointed with lots of heat, especially on the finish. It improved steadily over 2-3 hours, however, developing a nice smoothness and much more balance overall. The heat subsided, but it remained very jammy and noticeably off-dry. Overall a solid wine with broad appeal. 87-88.
