It’s ok but seems simple. If you are looking for that tart cherry Syrah nose, this doesn’t have it. I need a Syrah that draws my nose into the glass. This one does nothing for that. Almost no nose. Interesting things lurking in the background are not there, no olive, bacon, spice, salinity. Just straight dark fruit. Not giving me the trustworthy experience of a K Vintners, or something complex and intersting like a rocks district. A little better on …

Nice value Walla Walla Syrah. Gamey notes, pepper, spice, tannins in balance.

Somewhat jammy, fruit runs all the way through, structure in back. Very much is what it is... not the best value price-wise.

We drank the 09 and the 06 against each other for two nights. For the price both are good weekday choices. The 06 was pretty closed down - in the beginning it had virtually no nose at all. After an hour it started to improve and by the second day was the preferred choice. Much darker in color it is beginning to show some bricking. It is much more earthy than its younger sibling and had a longer finish and …

It was good, but not great like I was expecting. Had some blackberry on the nose and certainly some pepper. Noticed these on the palate as well, but nothing overly complex or layered. The downfall of this wine was its difficult-to-ignore bitterness late on the mid-palate & toward the finish. I expected and wanted something smoother with a better mouth feel. Would it have benefited from another two to three years of aging? Perhaps the tannins would have mellowed more …

Extremely rich, dense flavors. Dark purple color, almost no light gets through. A touch sweeter than other Walla Walla earthy syrahs, but the wine is balanced, just this side of elegant, and very full in flavor. Have with lamb.

Not a big nose, a little bit of pepper/undefined fruit. Cherry on the initial taste and pepper towards the end. Something of a sour component too. Medium tannin (maybe a little light for Syrah), very good balance but not hugely complex. Tastes good (even as a pop and pour).

kdawg is right on the money. Nice syrah, good pepper, lots of asian spices, held together with a nice core of black cherry. A little hollow on the midpalate, but good length on the spice. Overall pretty good value, and a nice expression of syrah.

Washington Wine Commision tasting (Rooftop Terrace, Millenium Park, Chicago IL) : nose: very dark nose of pepper, black cherries, blackberries, and asian spices. Nice depth and on the bigger side while still retaining a sense of being syrah taste: good depth with a big full bodied feel and chewy tannins. Good tones of pepper, black cherries, asian spices and hints of dark florals balance well together overall: this seems to be in a good place as this is definitely a …

A very dark purple color - nearing black at its core - this offers primary, but deep aromas of black plum, violet, and pink peppercorn. Fruity on the palate, though a bit flat in the middle, this is a tiny bit coarse in texture with a finish that reveals fruit, but also some bitter oak tannin.

Earth on the nose, musty. A little too much fruit ( perceived sweetness) at the front. As with a number of Walla Walla wines, there is a smoky nuance to this wine-Maybe a little too much.. Nice acids with decent finish.
