Domaine du Tix Vaucluse Cuvée Don Felipe Blanc

A private tasting (Rotterdam, NL) : Tasted blind. 100% Viognier. Very oaky on nose and palate, but the oak has been handled masterfully, not a single rough edge, subtle bourbon vanilla adds interest but does not overpower, there is ample youthful richness and fleshy fruit to buffer the oak, butter, acidity seems slightly low, the varietal is not easy to distinguish at present, but probably Viognier. Needs time.
