Domaine Fernand Engel Riesling Cuvée Engel

At first there was an attack of sharp Granny Smith apples before it segued into something a little sweet. However, the wine seemed a bit loose or unfocused. Once cool the balance was sublime, managing to be very fruity and sweet while being pleasingly dry and stony on the finish. The aroma was floral and sweet like honey.
