Blackberry, raspberry, olive brine, violets, white pepper, fennel, blood. Medium body & acidity. Medium-light tannins. Medium-long finish. Drink now, or in the next 2-3 years.

Muted nose of boysenberry and dark cherry. In mouth, fruit is likewise flattened but appreciable with cherry and light blueberry notes. Finish is moderate and not overly tannic. Drink over the next few years.

Decanted 45 minutes. Unlike other single-vineyard syrahs by this producer, this particular wine did not have any memorable characteristics. Mostly muted nose, medium body, not much distinguishable fruit, and a short finish. Saved remainder of bottle and tasted on following day, with similar results.
