To quote some of the other reviews, this one was definitely tight and bright. Cut through the beef bourgignon nicely

Full bodied, bright and savory, salty and nervy, with singed notes of cherries, earth, meat, bacon fat, and spices. This is still a little tight but improves nicely with a bit of air.

Intriguing, although a notch below previous vintages. Smoked meat and peppery notes are here, but a hit of tart raspberry and crunchy acidity take hold. Hints of barnyard weave in too. Lighter and brighter.

What a nice syrah. Definitely old world, but on the fruity side of that spectrum. No sediment. 30 minutes to open maybe. Fairly typical syrah profile but a little on the fruity end of that.

Walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. Relatively light body, good balance, lots of farmyard funk.

Summer in Indre By & J-L Chave’s Saint-Joseph Offerus Rouge (v21, 13% ABV) f t négociant Sélection series - a match made in Syrah heaven! 2021 N Rhône keeps on giving for those of us preferring cool, sleek Syrah, no exception to t vintage legacy here. Dark ruby, garnet reflections, translucent in appearance. All-out-attack nose w eloquent scents of cherries, raspberries, cassis, cedar, red flowers, pepper, tad of iron & olive brine. Juicy, m-bodied, acidic & rocky mineral drive, ethereal …

Medium violet, bright rim. Nose centered on red currents, leather, violets with a slightly musky note that adds complexity. Tart and fruit driven with soft tannins, long finish. *Excellent* for a wine at this price!

(Imported by Chave Export, NY). Anti-TCA synthetic cork. __________ Color: Med-dark ruby. On the lighter side for St. Joseph. Nose: Classic N. Rhône/Syrah driven nose of bright black/purple plum, blackberry, violets, and barnyard. Beautiful if you love these wines. Palate: Med-full body. Black plum, blackberry, black raspberry, and black olive Syrah fruit. Light mid-palate. Soft tannins. Sl tart finish. 13% alc. 2021 was not a great vintage in the northern Rhône. But Chave pulled off a lighter but classic and …

Bottled under Nomacork. Bright, dark-garnet color, medium depth. Aromas of black raspberry, mesquite char, green peppercorn, fresh violet and sous bois. Succulent and racy cherry and raspberry flavors, with secondary green tea, mushroom, dried floral and black pepper. Medium-bodied, with taut acid, lean sinewy phenolics and dense fleshy tannins, closing with medium length and notes of succulent fruit and hints of fresh mint and thyme.

Saw the Chave name and thought "how bad could it be?" Seems like it was good thinking as this is quite nice! Little bit of cured meat overlaying nice red berries on the nose. Palate is elegant with nice acidity and zippy red fruit (fresh cranberries) and a hint of subtle leather. Finish is again tart berries with some earthy notes. Really nice with solid complexity for the price! 91 Day 2: wow, so much more integrated and lively. Great …

On the nose, some animal nuance and then red berries. On the tongue, medium-body, good amount of tanin and acidity. Overall, it is a fruit-driven, clean and light medium-body Syrah for everyday. Recommended.
