Very good Verdicchio dei Castelli de Jesi. Feels like extended lees contact, lemon, herbs, some fire stone. Medium+ acidity, medium + finish

Bottle 1170g. Plastic cork. Moderately intense aromas of lime and citrus blossom. Dry, with moderate acidity, medium-bodied, 13°. On the palate, lime, lemon pith and salinity. Pleasant.

Moderately intense aromas of white flowers, citrus. Dry, elevated acidity and some phenolic bitterness. Lime, grapefruit pith. Medium-bodied, 13°. Saline finish.

Following on from enjoying their unusual Sauvignon Blanc, Animale Celeste 2019 (see separate Tasting Note if interested), I wanted to see how they handle Verdicchio in this great appellation. For a go ahead winery, their technical data is disappointing. Colour: light straw, bright, clear.
