Vino in Chicago; 8/26/2017-9/1/2017 : baked plums and jammy raspberries, cola, cocoa. low acid, light tannins, residual sugar, heat. delicious in a soft drink sense but not my cup of tea.

Book of Shadows unfortunately describes this wine quite well. Too much heat and sweetness from the alcohol overshadowing the otherwise pleasant berry flavors. Complexity is lost. Medium body and finish at best. Zinfandel can be so much more than this.

Dry, tart, and fruity flavors all together. Seems disconnected so I will try the next bottle in a another 6 months. Right now I would skip this one as there are much better Zins at the price point.
