Spoto Chardonnay

I'd still rate this one a 92....maybe even a 93. Love how mineral-rich and spicy this one is. Very multidimensional wine. Lots of lemongrass on the nose, sweet citrus on the nose as well, tangy on the front (peach and pineapple) with some substance and density to it in the beginning, asian pear in the middle with perfume, and finishes with a sharp acidity and white pepper spice. Seems heavier coming and lighter when going.

Good chardonnay. This one has two heads!! Light to medium straw color in the glass. Notes out of the glass were peach and apricot. Supple. The entry was a little acidic, but this one showed some nice malolactic. Peach, apricot, even a little pineapple in the front. Not tart -- very supple and correct. The mid-palate was very luscious, and carried through with a background of graham cracker and butterscotch as it sat heavy on the palate. Finish was a …
