François Cazin (Le Petit Chambord) Cheverny Blanc

This is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, and one can smell and taste the both elements. One doesn't bump into this mix that often elsewhere, but it really makes sense - the aromatic edge of SB with some of the body and breadth of Chard. This wine has also really nice lemony persistence on the palate. Good summer drinking and a casual alternative to basic level Chablis or Sancerre.
