{screwcap, 14.5%} Still a deep ruby. Classic Oz chocolate-mint nose. Nicely dark cabernet fruit on the palate, pointed acidity (real or powdered?). Mid-palate dip, faint grainy tannins, even if the oak flavours do seem controlled. Medium/full weight, dark and brooding. Medium length finish. Ok, but not entirely convincing.

Screwcap Needs food and a very long decant. Was very good in its style, lean but full bodied and savory Clare cabernet with a good tannin line. Day 2 Holding up well. A and looking more med bodied today without creamy oak dominating. Deep and dark red, coming in at the rim but not yet browning. Red and black fruit, ironstone, blood and black olive.
