Last of 4 bottles and clearly the worst. No clear flaw. The previous 3 bottles were tremendous. Dark ruby red, no browning noted. Opens with plum, prune and some red fruit. Not as aromatic as previous bottles. Plum, prune, red fruit, flavors. Short muted finish. Didn't come across as clearly corked, but the way the wine showed sure makes me wonder if it was mildly corked.

On Day 1 this was just OK but on Day 2 it had opened up and was meaningfully different/better. Of course will not be confused with Burgundy but regardless really bright red fruit flavors with nice acidity and length. QPR is stretched but regardless I will look back fondly on this one after the second showing.

Nothing wrong with the wine but nothing too special either. A few notches below what I recalled from an earlier bottle. I got this one recently through a 3rd party so provenance could play a factor. Or it's age. Drink up.

Needed time to fully open. Tertiary flavors developing, with the youthful fruit flavors now turning down. It did remind me of a brunello to a degree. Believe I prefer less age and more fruit with this wine, but delicious none the less.

Opaque garnet. Served in mid-60s, bought at release from winery. Very “textural” and full-bodied, New World but not a nouveau fruit bomb. 14.5% abv, but not hot. Can see why a previous reviewer related it to a middle-age Brunello. Seemed slightly corked (!) even after a 1-hour decant, as well as 3 hours later. Unfortunately, I’m over-conscious of TCA, so this precluded nuanced comments. Secondary characteristics of age are appearing, but still robust, not end-of-life. Very compatible with a rustic …

Light red in color. 14.5% ABV. Charming nose of bright red fruits, cloves, cola and baking spices. Light to medium body with exquisite acidity. Exceptionally elegant but not lacking for power. Cherry, cranberry, pomegranate and earth on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Just a great Estate Pinot Noir from Rochioli that undoubtedly bodes incredibly well for the Single Vineyard Pinots. Best over the next 1-2 years.

Damn this is the pinnacle of California pinot. Just an incredible wine. Cola, tea, red cherries in a complex, integrated mix of flavors. i love this wine and Rochioli. It just doesn't get any better.

Dark ruby color. Decanted 2 hours and it needed it. Raspberry, currant , cherries and licorice on the nose and palate. The tannins have softened and lead to a smooth finish. A good food wine.

Crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Pretty nose of dark red fruits, cloves, forest floor and minerals. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Great structure, fruit forward and perfectly balanced. Black cherry, cranberry, baking spices and cola on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Gorgeous Pinot Noir that has me sorely tempted to open a '14 Rochioli vineyard designate. Best over the next 2-3 years.

Clear scarlet ruby Bright cherry cola fruit with a boost of tannin in the finish. This is really quite open, sweet, and enjoyable right now if you like the style. 14.5% I imagine this is in a sweet spot right now. Lots of unopened bottles in CT today...

Valentines dinner with friends A beautiful and expressive PN. More classic than new world this wine evokes cherry, black fruits, and sulphuric flavor in mouth. The lingering flavors include black cherry, some cranberry, a small amount of bell pepper and cherry. Overall an awesome and well produced mid priced Pinot.

Primary notes of strawberry and plum on the nose, with secondary notes of clove. The aroma, despite being a California pinot, reminds me of a Brunello with 9-10 years of age (in a great way). Tannins are integrated quite nicely; the finish lingers for nearly a minute. Decanted for about 3.5 hours due to this wine's relative youth, plenty of time to continue aging but ready to drink if you give a good decant. Terrific pairing with a pork tenderloin …
