Well structured. Tannins still very firm even after 4hr decant. Will try again in 1-2 years.

It has been a year and a half since I last tried a bottle. Opened and let breathe for a few hours then put the cork back in and went to a BBQ. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, tree bark, dried leaves and a touch of thyme on the finish which was moderate to long.

Decanted for 60 minutes. Still a little tight with lots of tannin. However, after another 15 minutes, tannins had softened, and the wine opened up. Nice deep cab with dark fruit, cherry and some spices.

Deep purple in the glass with nose of blue fruit, cherry cola, leather, and mocha. The wine enters the palate with blackberry and dark blue fruit flavors, evolving to show leather baking spices, leather, and bramble, with air interesting herbal element at the end. Dry, tannic, but fresh and classical. Four-hour decant. Wondeful!

Steaks on the grill called for a cabernet. Opened and let breathe for awhile. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, tree bark, dried leaves and a touch of thyme on the finish which was moderate to long.

Agree- still tight. Much better after an hour decant but needs more time in the bottle.

Well, this was delicious. Popped and poured. Classic dark-fruited Oakville profile, with a subtle varietally-true green streak. A lot of depth and richness, and plenty of tannin. Enjoyable already but clearly has some runway. Probably best in 1-2 years. 92. 24 hours later I’m bumping this up a point. With air, the tannins turned plush, making this an absolute joy to drink. Strip-steak pairing perfection.

Decanted 90 minutes. Very tightly wound with mocha and blackberry leaking through the tough tannins and heat. Needs more time. 92+

This was remarkably better hours after opening. At the end of the bottle it was vibrant and alive. My wife commented that I must have opened another bottle because whatever we were drinking was markedly better. Give it an hour or two after opening or short term cellaring. 88 at opening 91 at end. Give a 91 but I could be sold to go higher

Concrete structure here, with oozing fruit, plenty of alcohol and oak. Chocolate and espresso, very pleasing bittersweet finish. Definitely would cellar this for a while.

For me easily the best Cabernet I have had from Sojourn. Dark in the glass, fruit saturated but balanced and improving all night, this wine was only bested by a exquisite B Cellars LPV last night. 94 now and maybe a point improvement in its future.

Opaque purplish hue. Cedar, tree bark, and cocoa scents. Plum, mushroom, and blackberry. This wine is a blend of classy elegance and a earthy beginning. A beauty now and development should be noteworthy. 94 Points.
