This is three parts underripe grapes, two parts mega purple, and one ugly smack of oak. Drinkable, but not great.

Very good. Fruit is showing, and I agree that the oak is still apparent and the wine could use a bit more time. I decanted for an hour and I think it really started to hit its stride in the second hour.

Tasted 05/2020 - definitely needs more time. If you decide to open it, I'd definitely recommend decanting multiple hours.

PNP- Still alive and kicking. Heat blew off in minutes. Vibrant and complex for 1hr+. long on the palate. Deep black fruit. I will hunt for more. Looking forward to corking the 09 soon!

Maybe slightly better than the previous bottles. In this case, I just popped the cork and pouredj, with no Coravin or aeration. I think that helped the fruit show a bit better and not be quite as overwhelmed by the oak and alcohol. Still not a fan overall.

A bit of alcoholic heat here and the oak is too apparent. Still manages to be lush and approachable, but this one is a bit mediocre.

This was way over-oaked. A bit hot and lots of oak tannins, but not much in the way of structure. Definitely not subtle and really not much in the way of varietal characteristics, as everything was overwhelmed by the oak. It seems like they tried to compensate for a fairly cool vintage by overdoing the new oak in an attempt to make the wine seem more rich and approachable. Needless to say, I don't think that worked. At least it's …

Quite a lot of oak present, and a little hard when first tasted alone, but a little cheddar softened it right up. Rich, with sweet, bright fruit, perfect acidity, and velvety mouthfeel. Nice and dry, excellent varietal character, clean finish.

This was tight and tannic upon opening, so I would recommend at least an hour in the decanter. Round, lush fruit with vanilla, blackberry, and oak. Pleasant and fat, but not too complex.

Great complexity...old school Napa...intricate spice on the nose...on the palate, some euch, some cassis, some mellow oak...lovely balance. No rush, but fully resolved tannins.

Great bottle with more room to run. Very smooth and balanced. Could probably go at least a few more years. Will compare to other 2006s as the year goes on.

Very good cab. Great dark cranberry color and nice long legs, on the nose notes of blackberry, nutmeg, and fat in the background. On the palate some complex flavors of blackberry , dark fruit, vanilla with some nice mid palate tannins and long lingering finish. We received this as a gift and I was not familiar with this vineyard but it is different from the other California Cabs we have I would definitely seek more.

Dark garnet in color; too much fruit and alcohol on day 1. Recorked and tried a few days later. Much better. Still a full bodied, new world Napa cab, but more balanced with plum, vanilla, and port like flavor profiles. I personally would hold the next bottle for another year or two at least, or give it a long decant. 14.4% alcohol.

Wonderful after a hour of air. Deep dark berries - cherry, currant, and blackberry, silky yet bright - whole not deeply complex it did not disappoint. Would gladly buy more at a reasonable price point. Consumed from my cellar at Flying Melon with corkage fees.

Dinner at Prime Cut Cafe (Prime Cut Cafe) : Very candy like on the nose and palate. Juicy and light built for immediate consumption.
