B&B Steak…. Elegance, huge tannins but velvety. Quite linear but really nice! Great with a hunk of meat

A wine that blends modern polish with Tuscan depth, Modus continues to deliver balance and structure in a way that feels both familiar and refined. In the glass, it shows a clear, medium-intensity ruby color—bright and inviting, with just a hint of transparency that suggests elegance over power. The nose is medium in intensity, led by black plum and blackberry, with cinnamon and cloves adding warmth and spice. It’s a bouquet that leans into comfort, with just enough intrigue to …

Exactly what I expected, this blend was super good. Full bodied, smooth tannins, the fruit was balanced. You could taste, wild berries, blueberries, dark cherries and a chewy cacao finish. I added more to my cellar this will be Christmas wine of 2023.

Raisined berry, toasted bread, marmite, and sappy wood on the nose. Full-bodied with rich flavours on the palate; weighty with good grip and complexity on the finish. 4.5/5

Great find by a buddy of mine. The nose is powerful and presents wildflowers, dark berries, and grassy barnyard. The palate is robust with blue and blackberry. Some plum as well. Mid palate on some fresh herbs and light tar comes through balanced by warm notes of cinnamon and cloves. Back end is fairly tight, even after an hour decant. This could use more time, but is still quite a joy as it is. Day 2 Improved a bit. Floral …

Gambero Rosso Tasting (Doltone House, Sydney) : Meaty, savoury, plums, sweet oak spice with a slightly herbaceous underpin. Savoury, rich, plummy, clean, tight woody tannins, a touch of alcohol warmth on the finish.

La robe est rubis foncée. Le nez est sur l'alcool, fruits rouges, cerises, figue, prune et une certaines chaleurs. La bouche est longue, intense, alcool, puissant et des tanins asséchants. Trop chaud ou trop jeune.

Nose of cherry, stone, wet oak, palate is tight and giving notes of cherry, red apple, a little fig that starts opening up and softening into hazelnut, coffee, and dry soil. Adequate acidity, tannin that provides a little dryness and counter to an otherwise fruit forward Tuscan. This carried very well into the next day sitting in a corked bottle, and each glass had to open up to develop some of those more nuanced softer flavors of oxidization. Probably could …

This blend of 44% Sangiovese, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 19% Merlot has a clean, medium-high intensity nose of dark cherry, clove, and currant aromas with touches of cassis and earth adding complexity. It's medium-to-full bodied on the dry palate with lovely currant, cassis, clove, and dark red cherry replays, plus chocolate flavours. It has very good acidity, and creamy, textured, and well-structured tannins. Excellent length on the well-balanced, savoury chocolate finish. Score 91+ pts
