This is not as expressive as the 2017 was around this time last year, the fruit is not as ripe and the gooseberry aroma which Zweder correctly noted last year is even more prominent in this 2018. It's youthful, tight and fresh, still a bit yeasty, with citrus and green apple notes to the fore. It's attractive, energetic and mineral, in a relatively understated fashion, but it will need a bit of time to show of its best.
