Karl – who worked at Morey-Blanc around this period – very impressively picked the producer of this negociant wine, but not the vintage. There is some advancement to the aroma, with notes of truffled honey, but things tighten with air. The palate is rich, showing ripe peach and candied lemon flavours. There’s the usual Corton steely line and a finish that posses plenty of drive.

Light gold colour. A bouquet of lemon zest, green apple, baking spices, wet river boulder, oyster shell and a little sea salt. With time in the glass some gentle meadow flower scents emerged. On palate, rich and dense. Grand Cru weight and power but fine, with satiny texture. Discrete, seamless oaking. Refreshing and precise, with racy 2011 acids.
