Mouth-watering acidity and consequent freshness. For its price range, this is unbelievable value. Delicious.

Tasted this wine during a WSET Level 3 guided tasting session, following the WSET Wine Tasting Framework. The course was organized by Wine Language and held at That Wine Place. Hugel respecte le livre traditionnel du riesling bien né. Citron confit, très sec, ( très peu de sucre résiduel, selon une tradition Alsacienne qui peut en rebuter plusieurs...) finale minérale et quelque peu « pétroleuse » avec le temps d'aération, ce riesling est un modèle du genre. Notes d'orange au réchauffement. (**1/2) pour son RQP

Impressively complex for its price but the gasoline/beach ball just overpowered everything else for me. There is some apricot and sweet spice there too but slightly out of balance overall

More acidic than I expected. Lots of green apples.

Petrol and apple, straightforward but very nice for what it is.

Quite ordinary and nothing really expressive like we’re used to from Hugel.

More citrus than floral. Had itbwith Poke bowls. I like this white wine. Was also goid the night after with some Adobo chicken.

Lime, green apple, orange zest and honey finish. Good straihgt forward dry creamy Riesling. Very good.

Limes, limes, limes on the nose with a little white peach BOne dry, limes, lot of citrus, firm acidity with a lime pithy quality, long with honey on the finish. Good stuff. Zingy and dry, drinking well now but will no doubt mature nicely.

Light to medium body, pale golden colour, 12.5% abv. Delicate aroma of citrus, lemongrass and gasoline notes. Green apples and pom palate, lime acidity and dry finish of good length and acidity. Crisp, refreshing and well balanced wine. Food friendly, Well pairing to Mediterranean salad with spicy sardines. Serve 10ºC - 14ºC. Open half an hour ahead. Drink now and next 3/4 years.

An Expansive Tasting at Hugel (Riquewihr, France) : Light yellow. Fresh floral and citrus aromas. Light and mineral with snappy acidity and real soil carrying the finish. Fine basic Riesling with more energy than other more acclaimed 2022’s.

Very intense nose but the notes are not very distinct. There is citrus, a little bit of tropical fruit, white flowers, and even a little bit of petroleum. On the palate, there is a lot of green apple and a little bit of camomile. The body is medium- and acidity is high. It is a very pleasing wine and I think it could improve with some more time. 8/18
