Light and refreshing. Easy drinker. What you would expect at its $15 price range.

Nose has notes of green vegetation, maybe a touch of honey. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean, feels like a warm weather drinker. Notes of lemon and green grass. Porch pounder.

{procork, 12%} This is pale straw, with reserved notes of limestone and steel. Palate is medium weight, which a hint of white-fleshed fruit, but mild in flavour. Steely texture without being especially acidic, nicely balanced along the palate, but the finish tends towards short. OK, not exciting (€39 at Little Italy Restaurant, Wiesbaden)

Great medium yellow color, surprisingly fresh and lively. Upon opening, there was a little effervescence. Bright nose of honey, lemon and apricot. Nice with a seared halibut. No sign of oxidation at all. Lovely.

Rare Breeds; Less Common Grapes from Lesser-known Regions (Farpointe Cellar) : Burnt match and roasted nuts on the nose, with some stone and citrus underneath, and floral notes at the end. Lots of citrus fruit on the nose, with rocks and flowers on the mid-palate, and good smoky finish.

Nat cork. A light, pale gold. A citrusy nose with grapefruit notes. also has a hint of white pepper. Remiscent of a gruner that way. Also a bit of crushed shell that made me think of muscadet. Rounded out with a hint of melon rind. On the palate more full bodied perhaps than either of those grapes typically are, get the lemon note although not a fruit driven wine. Quite dry too.

Light green guava and minerals in the nose; refreshing, elegant, with slight lime aspect and white pepper in the finish.

Northern Italian Whites and then Syrahs - Controversy in the tasting Group : A nice wine, nothing wrong without, but without anything truly special. Still, it was enjoyable and I would drink it. Pale yellow in color. The nose is minerals and seltzer with a pencil eraser note. On the palate, refreshing with limes and minerals. A tart mouth puckering finish. $26 Ohio is probably more than I would spend.

Arthritis Foundation Connoiseurs' Room (Pfister Hotel, Milwaukee) : from magnum. lime leaf all over the nose and for sure, some skunk, but in the end it really just becomes part of an aromatic white pepper expression. but the skunkiness is properly tucked in there. ben suggests palate tannin. i also see this wrapped in the white pepper. for that alone, my thoughts go towards some recent savoie wines of the jacquere grape. JP&JF Quenard, Le cellier du Palais Apremont. Very …
