As a bin-end at a restaurant. PNP. Was expecting a wine that had crested the ridge, but pleasantly surprised by one in its prime. Round, rich and full. Red fruits and gentle tannins, this is fully resolved and in a nicely balanced phase. No shy wallflower, but the years have softened and allowed this to even show hints of refinement. I imagine this was more of a beast in its youth.

Les Boudots is a 1 Cru neighbour to les Malconsorts on the boarder to Vosne Romanee. Very fresh - on the acidity with rather shy fruits - red fruits - red cherries, raspberries, Nuits St. George never was my preferred appellation, but this is a perfekt bridge between the open flowerish cote de nuit and the more closed cassis type cote de beaune. We drank the wine over three days, and it really showed it´s full potential on day three. Quite floral, strawberry, nicely balanced, soft tannins, long. Still very young, I guess patience will be rewarded
