Bottle No. 0591/5206. Yet another adulatory note. Generous and supple, rounded but pure and precise, complex aromatics, ripe fruit supported by mildly spicy oak, satiny texture, perfectly smooth tannins, very good resonance and length. Complete, stylish, and extremely moreish.

I must say that I am even more taken with this wine than in December 2018. Silky and floral and with a very elegant minerality, this seamless wine could easily be mistaken for an excellent, modern-styled (M&P Rion perhaps?) Chambolle from a riper vintage - like 2015 in fact. Clear expression, creamy red berries, well-judged oak, velvety tannins. Cracking stuff.

Much more generous than the 2017, juicy and supple, rounded and ripe, impressive nose with blue and black fruit and a hint of oak spice, flowers and forest floor, subtle but engaging minerality on the palate, perfectly judged tannins, but there is a touch of back-end heat. Come-hither in style, but not without a sense of elegance.

This producer is really creating some excellent wines that have a real sense of place. Real lift and elegance on this wine with a high toned feel that is cut through with some deeper, sweeter feral notes. The tannins give this wine a real texture and feeling that it will age beautifully. Cracking value and real potential here. Excellent.
