My first time with this wine. Drunk over a few nights. On the nose, dark berry fruits, tar, white pepper, and iodine. Full bodied yet with bright acidity keeping it in balance. This is a bit angular on the first night, but by the fourth night, it has rounded out, gained depth and balance. Savory and rocky more than the dark berry fruit, with pepper and some meaty notes. A dark purple color with garnet reflections wine quite muscular wine that takes you by surprise with its high tannins and then a lively juiciness starts just making it a total delicious experience, with lots of sour cherries and strawberries flavors and some roasted red pepper and in the black palate some bitter herbs. The Kapitel 1 shines dark garnet to violet in the glass. Cool and reluctant aromatics of Dark Fruit, with mostly Cherry, Cassis & Plum, ask for attention. Fresh green Herbs and fresh-cut Bark come with slightly smoky and greasy characteristics. Later, the nose turns broader and more intense after further aeration, but just after catching the first, decent scents you can tell that this wine is special! Really exciting, distinct and complex.
