Minkov Brothers Cabernet Sauvignon

I've tried bottles of this over the years and was not impressed. Today, however, after 120 minutes uncorked, it's become a very nice wine. Coherent, and the alcohol is contained. Pleasant, and with substance.

(15,5/20) Blind tasted. Dense wine, good concentration. Lots of oak, could be some American oak even. Lots of fruit too, great texture, slightly chewy tannins. Medium+ intense aromas of blackberry, red cherry, black plum, fresh fig, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, tobacco, bay leaf, liquorice wood, black pepper. Dry wine, medium+ acidity, medium+ and ripe tannins, full body, pronounced flavour intensity, medium+ length finish. Wine exchange @Ruud Berlie

vegetable ash, cigars, bell pepper, toasty stuff, hints of dark fruit and spring flowers, mostly earthy and savory though, lively acidity, pretty easy tannins, blue and black fruits on the palate, lots of earthy stuff, fresh and correct

toasted coconut and toasted coconut, charcoal, warm stone, bell pepper, seaweed, prunes, black plum touch of vanilla. tastes as the nose indicates.

Black currant, green apple, oak. Great wine for the price.

Surprisingly fruity Cabernet, tastes more like a Zinfandel with hints of plums and peaches. But it has strong tannins. Overall a weekday smooth, not so dry but tannic wine.

Petit essai avec ce vin Californien. Nez de fraise compotée, de fumée un peu et un boisé très Californien pour moi. Un petit coup de carafe lui a fait du bien, puissant mais sans excès et une bouteille correcte pour le prix.
