Koehler-Ruprecht, Kallstadter Riesling Kabinett Trocken, Pfalz

I don't get it. this one is youthful and fresh. All bottles are from the same case stored under same cellar temp conditions. perhaps it's me... still not taking any chances and will consume remainder of bottles over next 12 months. i don't see any upside to waiting and worry about downside

PNP. So this one is also showing a little age like 2 bottles ago. There is the same confected fruit and great creamy acidity but this has light butterscotch nose and it sneaks into the palate. Back to drinking these sooner than later.

PNP. Cork perfect. Two years in the cellar has been kind here. Color remains straw and youthful. Nose showing mostly lime and lemon rind. Swishing shows creamy acidity w no rasp now. Sipping shows great flavor but a little thinness that i associate w trocken wines. There is a confected fruit quality here that i enjoy very much. Finish is med length and juicy. Aromas billow from the glass, this is spectacular: apricot, apple jelly, lemon, lime, orange, honeysuckle, freesia, mint, sage... silky and smooth on the palate, acid is gentle and integrated, ripe fruit caresses and coats, subtle pithy and herbal nuance grip lightly. This has intensity and finesse, as well as uncommon complexity for a "village" wine. It's in a great spot, and I don't see it improving much, but it will surely be worth following many years. PNP. Cork perfect. Color straw. Nose has apricots with orange and lemon candy accents. Swishing shows only acid structure which is mostly creamy but there is a little rasp. Sipping shows light body and easy Riesling flavors. Easy to enjoy and no expectations for long life but there is nothing to preclude that.
