Slow ox'd x 3-4 hours and enjoyed over another 2-3 hours. A bit simple at the start but deepened over 2-3 hours. Great acidity, a nice long ending to this one. Better and better over 3-4 hours of air. Maybe a 93 early on but went to a 95 as time went on.

El Bonita fire pit entry #2 (#1, for those not slavishly reading my TNs, was a KE Anjea), kinda playing McCartney to that wine’s Lennon. This has about the sexiest nose ever, although it was rivaled by the L&M I brought (also kinda a McCartney to my Ovid’s Lennon), with intense blue-black fruit being joined by anise, dark chocolate, wet soil, exotic spice and a bit of forest floor. I understand Mark slow ox’d this for about 4 hours, and …

Slow ox for 90 min followed by a full decant for 30 min before putting it back into the bottle to take to Chop's for another great meal with Gabriel and Linda. Pnp'd there into glasses and enjoyed through another 3 hours til gone. This bottle has no element of the stewed plums that the last bottle exhibited. I'm rating it a point higher because of that alone. This is easily one of Kamen's premier wines over the years. It's …

So so damn good! Finally got to try a Kashmir after sipping in the Kamen lounge last year. This ‘12 exceeded my expectations! The lush black fruit is so sensational on the nose and palate. Its so mesmerizing that we kept going back to it. Just draws you in like a magnet. Addition of sumptuous notes of anise, nutmeg, cinnamon, sweet oak, and decadent milk chocolate while still retaining freshness. Ripe tannins on long lasting finish.

Given some slow ox before pouring but really began to sing after about 1-2 hours of air through the evening. Balsamic glaze notes on the nose, deep quality dark red fruit. Almost perfect integration. I don't think it improves from this point forward. This is smooth, beautiful fruit. The best Kamen has to offer and like so many of the Napa/Sonoma '12s, seems to display more stewed plum notes on the nose and palate than other vintages.

Three hour slow ox. Nearly opaque electric magenta color. Fig, balsamic glaze, stewed plum, anise, honeysuckle, and subtle white truffle on the nose. Super smooth, dry palate. Full, round tannins on the longish finish. Another beautiful bottle Mark1NPT brought from Florida to Texas to share during a tremendous wine weekend. This has aged beautifully. This and the ‘07 Cardinale almost has me thinking I like aged wines. ;)

Amazing - pure dark silky fruit that you don’t want to swallow, but get rewarded with a very long yummy finish when you do.

Fantastic wine, dark fruit with balanced tannin and acidity. Long finish, drinking great right now, but no need to rush.

Phenomenal! I decanted the wine for two hours prior to drinking. Big, bold, lush, dark and lingering. Silky smooth with loads of character. Definitely to be appreciated and ernjoyed with oenophiles and loved ones. Fantastic now, but will certainly continue to improve.

Massive and hedonistic. Dark, inky and viscous with a nose of complex aromas of black fruit, graphite, mocha & herbs. Rich & velvety mouthful with no sharp edges, silky tannin and a long finish. Stunning now, however not sure how this will hold up long term.

Initially a 95 but way better with air and an hour later it's a good 96. Shared by HowellMountainCru. It has a wonderful albeit odd nose that evolves thru the evening. It's smooth and very ready to drink now. I don't think it improves from here but who really knows. It all depends on what you like. It has great mouthfeel, it's smooth and integrated, no harsh edges. WOTN to me.

Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (Brunswick & Hunt) : This needed air for the VA to blow off, then it showed with full body, medium tannins and pure, gentle fruit with a touch of citrus. This one probably could have used a decant as well. My and the group's #3 of 5.

Absolutely beautiful; smooth from start through medium finish. Blackberries, currants. Structured without forward tannins.

Simply delicious. Decanted for 45-60 mins. Elegantly fruit forward but it's big with very balanced tannins; supple, and layered. Medium-long finish. Just our style. Blind tasted next to a Stag's Cask 23 and the Kashmir blew it away; it made the Stag's taste flat and uninteresting. I have tasted Cabs with a bit more complexity or depth, but those are 96-98 pointers. You'll be impressed with this wine. Yummmy. My wife and I are going to find more.

Boom! This absolutely proves that great cab can be produced in Sonoma. An absolute home run.

From a 5L. Understandably this was fairly closed over the first 30 minutes, though it did start to unfurl after an hour or so. Showed very good potential, with rich and concentrated fruit and medium freshness. Just not quite the complexity or energy I look for in top notch Cabernet.

94+ I didn't realize this wine was made from Sonoma Cab, above the fog line. So plush, liquid velvet, great balance between fruit and structure. Everyone that tasted it loved it. The only problem is that I can buy my Schrader and Maybach at the same price of $185. If this was $140 I would have bought some, but it is in the same weight class as my favs.
