this has matured and now is at its' peak. Golden color, nice weight, yet delicate on the palate

Medium to full bodied with a fairly unctuous mouthfeel and relatively simple flavors of stone fruit and anise. Nice enough, but due to its simplicity and lack of depth, nothing to realy write home about.

Nice bottle. Rich, rousanne-y nose. Nicely balanced. Finish is a bit short, but good value.

Despite not being wow'ed with fruit, the complexity this offering develops is stunning. Great blend, so unique and different, interesting is an understatement. Finish is still shorter than would hope, but overall this rich offering is great. Paired superbly with surf and turf skewers. 88/B = 50/4/11/9/7/7

Deeeeeeeelightful. Stolpman always satisfies and never bores. Fascinating white blend that keeps me coming back for more.

Green melon nose. Lots of melon and honey. Luscious for such a dry wine. Mineral-packed, super long finish. Really good.

Same notes as before but just wasn't firing on all cylinders the other night. Nice wine, but after sipping side by side with Edmond August Inference, paled in comparison.

Super duper Stolpman. Great white blend that stands out for its distinctiveness and stands up for great value.

Love this wine - refreshing unique and layered with the Roussanne shining through shouldered by the Chard and just enough acidity from the Sauv Blanc - Stolpman has a nice touch.

Again, this is a nice California, kind of Rhonish, blend. Its got some softer stone and tropical fruit flavors and just abit too much oak for my tastes. I'm still finding some bitterness on the finish that, to me, is alittle off-putting. I think this is an ok wine with an ok value.

Another great value with terrific quality from Stolpman. Tasting notes the same as the first bottle consumed in September 2012.

Pure goldenrod hue. Bouquet of salted hay and Bosc pear with crushed oyster shells. Pear and lemongrass water, hints of muddled bamboo shoot, constant crescendo of light, white smoke undertones and salinity. Finished short and bright, apricot pit and lemon rind, faint green grass. Smart attack with no back-end. B-/87 = 50/5/11/8/7/6

Very interesting. While very enjoyable, just couldn't hone in on the flavor profile. Nice nose of apricots. In the mouth you can taste the three distinct flavors of each varietal. Nice brightness from the sauv blanc gives way to mellow Rousanne with a Chard accent. Decent finish.

Very unique blend of Roussanne, Chardonnay, and Sauv. Blanc. Smoky and light. Not smoky from the oak, but the combination is one of depth and varietal characteristics which blend very nicely. Apricots, smoked melon, and grassy herbs lead to a memorable finish which goes on for a good 30 plus seconds. An amazing QPR and pairs well with Asian cuisine

Unique. I am happier with this wine than the previous tasters. In the glass, light, bright golden shimmers. On the nose, notes of nectarines and almonds. On the palate, rich, round Rousanne grapes piqued by mid-palate notes of lemon zest and luscious baklava on the back palate. The finish seems to last for minutes. What made all this work for me, was opening for an hour before drinking at nearly room temperature. Verdict for Stolpman: Point. Set. Match.

This is an ok California Rhone ranger. Quite simple with a little bitterness on the finish. Not bad but nothing too interesting. I doubt I'll buy any more.

interesting blend. Fresh apricot and almonds on the nose with more of the same coupled with honey and minerality on the palate. a very round wine driven by the Rousanne. much better with food, needs a while to open.
