Good. Lacking some depth and complexity but an enjoyable white that's all there.

This bottle was slightly less than previous ones....cellar temperature and humidity seem normal...but it happens. Please see my previous notes about this wine.

I was very impressed with this. I found this to be a good middleweight Chard. Plenty of ripe fruit in here but not tropical fruit cocktail. I also appreciated the 13.5% abv.

13.5% alcohol; vinted in Napa, bottled in Sonoma; real cork with a penetrating fruit aroma, heavy-weight foil; long legs, very pale yellow; opened, kept in the fridge for 24 hours, and tasted at 18 degrees C; nose of fruit, fruit acidity, and alcohol; full bodied; fruit forward but not especially sweet, rather it's fruit-acidic, with a nice blend of tannins in the middle; the bright shaft of acidic tannins give the wine a lot of spirit; maybe it should be …

In entering this note, I kept asking myself "why is my score higher than the norm?" I believe it is because I enjoy a slightly heavier chard and that is what this wine gives. The aromas and flavors still show more life, so I am staying with a consumption window to 2026 (maybe even a little longer).

Lemon, golden delicious apple, verbena, citrus peel with balanced acidity and long finish. Reminiscent of Chablis. Almost no oak. My style.

S: nose is apple and faint honeysuckle; taste is both light and full. Like butter without flavor. Tastes like an overpriced Napa chard. R: pear and white pepper on nose; tangerine and honey, subtle and nice. Pairs beautifully with scallops and salmon in brown butter and seared pear sauce.

Freshness and vibrancy abound here. Yellow orchard fruit aromas are graced with a kiss of butter. Bright and pithy in the mouth, with excellent tension and poise to the quince and lemon flavors. Lingers on the palate.

Not being a Chardonnay guy this wine surprised me. Very light, but full of crisp oak & butter with no metallic after taste that comes with so many young Chardonnay's these days. Quite good and very enjoyable with our salad!

A wine in decline. There is lemon remaining but there is also an unbalance to the wine. This has become acidity over smoothness and the finish is a little cardboard like. At 10 years (using dog year analogy) this has seen its best days.

Tropical notes (pineapple, mostly), sesame oil, toast. Some real acidic tang on the back end. Not a whole lot of buttery malolactic action, and a whole lot less than expected. An awesome chicken wine tonight.

Classy, restrained and elegant. Oak is well integrated and almost imperceivable. On the palate it isn't dense or viscous. It is a leaner, more old world in style.

Excellent!! 90-91

This elegant Chardonnay offers delicate Tahitian vanilla, honeysuckle and pear aromas along with hints of Linden flower and lemon citrus. The palate is filled with flavors of yellow apple, pear, mandarin orange and dried nutmeg. The wine is light in weight with sense of minerality like clean sea foam that finishes with a light fennel and lime note.

light gold. Very high acidity, fresh lemon, mineral, tight, did not open too much over a couple of hours. Is this the same wine I had last time? The tannin dryness of oak is there background note of petrol. Next night - Wow, eucalyptus, ripe lemon, mineral, subtle clarified butter

One of the many benifits I get from CT, is tasting notes from other CT members will pop up and remind me it is time drink a particular wine. A five year old CA chardonnay, this was lovely, lemon, melon, minerals, still good acidity and no signs of decline. Paired well with crab stuffed musrooms and fan baked potato.

Toasty, green apple nose, with some lime and tropical notes as well, much more oak on the nose than I expected out of the bottle. Nice creamy, leesy mouthfeel, apparantly no malolactic fermentation, leading to a tart, welcome acidic finish. This wine grew on me over an hour or so; some definite finesse here, not buttery at all, but the combo of oak, tart fruit, and acidity is interesting to watch unfold . . . 90 points.

I have been trying to figure out what to serve my more oaky whites (the few that i own) and sat on this awhile. Served this with a 2-in thick fresh tuna steak with an olive oil mostly, soy sauce, lemon, touch of wasabi, a little orange zest. Nice pairing. Wine: color medium yellow. Butter, honey, pear, almond, nice balance.
