This has now been open for two hours. It started out a little bitter and astringent on the finish, but that smoothed out quite quickly, and now it's drinking beautifully, if still rather youthful. The nose is exactly as I wrote 8 years ago, "showing mineral laced exuberant red toned fruit." It is oh so pretty and soft, elegant, and classy, showing the same cherries with volcanic ash on top as on release. Palate enters soft and smooth in texture, …

This bottle seemed much further along in its development than my last bottle in '22. Classic Loire CF with some bell pepper but not too green. Very good with roast chicken. My experience is that Guion ages quite well and this seems more mature than I'd expect. Could just be the bottle or a feature of the relatively warm vintage? May need to move these up in the consumption schedule if this type of showing is representative. Edited to add …

Very Good No notes, but this seemed a bit muted and might be in a bit of a closed phase, if that happens with these wines. Simple enjoyment and food friendliness. A nice wine. Importer: Free Run 12.5% abv Empty bottle weight: 463g

Still too young. Tight on day one, not showing much. Better after most of the bottle sat for two days. Recommend another five years.

Medium, see-through violet color; fresh aromas of red fruits; precise flavors ripe cherry, red raspberry. Hints of leather. Bright, fresh, juicy, medium bodied with moderate acidity. Lingering minerality. Light, fine tannins. 12.5% abv. 12 mo in oak. From vines aged 45-80 years old. Great with pork roast and roasted veggies and potatoes. Delightful!

Good showing on this. My first bottle of '15 Prestige. This seems to be entering its drinking window. More cherry notes than I normally associate with this wine, it has the typical weightlessness that I do though. Very enjoyable.

Oh yeah, the riper vintage sings here. Tannins need a few hours to simmer down, much better than the '14 I had last week.

A good cab franc from my favourite region for this grape.

Delicious easy drinking, ripe but balanced with minerals and soil.

第一晚,是比较lean的CF风格。第二晚,到后四分之一,口中有红水果内核。隐约像rougeard.

Not bad. Plenty of earth and green peppers and a bit of sharp greenness and not any where near as ripe tasting as I thought this year would be.

I’m a bit of a naysayer on this one. Fruity, pleasant cab franc. A bit thin. A smidge of green pepper on the finish. Nothing particularly complex or remarkable about it, but decent QPR at $14.

4 Nice ripeness pushed the profile toward fruit purity with no herbal influence. Moderate alcohol and all around balance make this both crowd pleasing and true to place. Delightful.

Full, ripe, dark red and raspberry fruit with a distinct smoked meat note on the backend. A touch sauvage and rustic. Good fresh acids live underneath the vibrant dark fruit and keep this light. Moderate tannins show up on the middle and finish. No explicit herbal or leafy notes, instead they come through as a more subtle topnote that are secondary to the youthful fruit tones. Seems like this needs a few years in the bottle to even out some, …

Wines like this really make you wonder why you ever need to spend more than $15 on a great bottle of every day wine. What an insane value. The Cuvée Domaine is magical in 2015 and this is even more refined, as expected. The aromas are strong and pretty, showing mineral laced exuberant red toned fruit. These are cherries with the pits and volcanic ash poured on top of them. These aromas seem to develop a texture to them; a …

Was drinking this thinking how nicely balanced it was, all-around pleasant and a change of pace from what I usually drink. Figured I had paid about $30 for it and was pleased. Nope! 14 bucks. At that price, I should have bought 20. This is a fantastic bottle at the money.

This might just be the QPR champion of all time. Wow. Hard to believe it's as young as it is because it shows so well. Very dusty, dirty nose. Smells like whole cluster fermentation but smells so enticing. No fruit on the nose. Only dust, dry twigs. But the mouth starts out like beaujolais, with that tart cranberry flavor, fine drying tannins, but partway through the time in the mouth, in comes the green pepper, but it's soft and subtle. …

What a brilliant $14 bottle of wine. This bodes well for 2015 red's from Loire. Brilliant red fruit, with typical Loire minerality, earthiness and some baking spices thrown in. Great structure. Enjoyable now with many, many years ahead.
