Started drinking minutes decanted and opened up only slightly more shortly after. To the nose, equal parts black cherry and blackberry, with black pepper. On the palate, similar fruit with some plum and black raspberry (dark more than red) and spice (black pepper over white). Very good mouthfeel and moderate length, with good acidity and liveliness. Paired well with a pasta, pepperoni and beef dish. Very good QPR.
