Not quite as good as the last one, but still quite tasty. Seemed to improve somewhat through the bottle, perhaps a brief decant for the next one.

Excellent bottle. Cab Franc at its finest. It was good pretty much upon opening, but it opened up a little through the bottle. No need for a big decant or extended breathing. Good juice.

smooth easy drinking, not one for long term aging. Food friendly, but not required.

Devils peak, Angel's Peak and Cardinale Peak all have such a soft mouthfeel combined with good fruit and just enough tannins to keep it interesting.

Inky garnet color. Aromas of blackberry and dark fruit, with sanguine & salty tones as well. Thin on the attack and through the midpalate, with a short-medium finish of plummy dark fruit.

The color is a light purple, turning red at the rim. The nose has a wonderful aroma of slate, cassis, vanilla and a little toast. There is a slightly earthier component that is more like tobacco. The mouthfeel is silky, medium-bodied with light tannins and low acidity. It tastes of cassis, plum and possibly some black cherry. The finish is quick, leaving a satisfying impression of cassis. Overall, a very enjoyable wine and a decent QPR for the Napa region. …
