We stayed at Castello di Brolio during our Europe trip in May, one sip and it takes me right back! Aromas of young cherry, red berries, vanilla and a touch of dried herbs. On the palate vibrant red fruits dominate, complemented by layers of oak, subtle spice, and a hint of tobacco. Full-bodied with ultra smooth texture, the tannins are beautifully integrated but still present and balanced by high acidity. The finish is long and divine! Drinking perfectly now, a …

Very light ruby red. After 30 min decant, the nose brings forth bright cherries and red plums. Medium body, with a refreshing snap to it and tannins lurking around. Really quite nice, and still young, but drinks well. I supppse it will improve overtime, but I am not sure to what degree.

08.02.2024: popped this d night b4 & brought the remaining half to lunch today at F2P. Drinking much better with lifted cranberry, sour cherries & lots of balsamic notes. Juicy mouthwatering acidity but felt this is still too young. Missing that elegant layers & tannins that coats the palate

This is quite lovely, and an excellent effort for 2018. It shines with a medium garnet color, aromas of leather, mint, tobacco, and black cherry. A very elegant floral quality pokes through with air. Oak spice makes its presence known a bit, but overall this is quite seamless and well composed with a beautifully pure lip-smacking flavor. This will age well over the medium term at least, which makes sense given the vintage.

Classic!! Sangiovese shining - not bold - not shy - smooth but also tannic - persistent and long. Period.

Offers strikingly rich fruit, with plum and black cherry flavors and a hint of telltale violet. The oak is a bit aggressive at the moment, but should integrate over time. The acidity however is well balanced; the wine is already brilliantly fresh and mouthwatering. TBH this is drinking pretty darn well now, but it should also evolve nicely over the next 2 decades.
