Viña Cono Sur Pinot Noir Single Vineyard Block 21 Viento Mar

A little too Sweet.

Deeply inky appearance & on the nose there's smokey match sticks, dark strawberries & black plums ~ On the palate it's big & round with ample structure & flavors of black liquorice, dark fruits & tobacco ~ Lots of power & great length

not bad for the price for pinot. not a very long finish but some nice dark cherry flavours

Initially attractive nose of cherries with floral tones. On palate, the initial balance of fruit and acidity gradually faded into one where the bitterness became dominant without the structure to sustain it ( this was when drinking it with brie, so probably not standing up well to the creamy acidity of the cheese)

Deep purple colour with an opulent nose suggesting charming violet scents and a pounded blackberry core. Smooth, supple and generous on the palate with tannins that tend to dry a bit on the aftertatste.
