I reached deep into the archives for this one. I purchased this on a trip with dear friends and neighbors to the Santa Ynez area a long time ago. We live 90 minutes away and make frequent trips, but I always try to keep a bottle of stuff I buy to age, just to see what happens. Especially the local juice. This one was a pleasant surprise. Did it blow me away? No, but close. It lost its New World …

We did not enjoy this wine. We think it's overrated. Disappointing finish and a bit too much heat up front. Uneventful.

Popped and poured. Translucent red-tinged purple. Attractive nose of dark fruit, anise and vanilla. Fruit forward, medium weight palate of plum, blackberry, graphite, and espresso. Decent acidity and length. Mild tannins. Mild oak. Overall, a decent, drinkable wine with good QPR.

The Three Saints is a deep ruby wine with a nose of cassis & blackberry and some delicate violet. Exquisitely smooth entry on the palate and throughout, rich blackberry in the mouth, a hint of dark chocolate with a thread of acidity throughout, and picks up an oaky tone midpalate. The finish has decent length with blackberry and toasty oak. The tannins are firm and give solid structure. This is a well-crafted wine that compares favorably to ones twice its …

Very nice lower priced cab. Solid fruit and vanilla on the nose and palate, very smooth with mid-length finish. A great recommendation from First Avenue Wine House as a wondeful everyday cab. It seems more like a $50+ wine.

Really classy wine. Not over the top. Good balance. If there is such a thing as a typical Cab, this was it and it was a great contrast with the Zin that we were also drinking. A bit of a spicy nose...ginger, perhaps? Tannins silky and nicely integrated. Liked a lot.
