Absolutely stunning bouquet of cherries, violets, loam, and cut flowers. Some of the most intense bing cherry flavors I’ve ever experienced in a wine. Spectacular by any measure. After about 60-90 minutes of air the berry pyrotechnics subside and are replaced by a burnt stalk / earth edge to the (now) more sour cherries. Will it get better than this? I don’t know. Perhaps a bad bottle, but this wine was a massive disappointment. Lost all of its fruit and highly astringent. It was very light in color and body.

Transparent strawberry red color. Light, lovely aroma of ripe strawberries. Bright, light and bursting with fruit on the palate. Strawberry, cherry, earth. Fine, precise tannins. Light, dancing acidity and great balance. Finishes moderately long with dark fruits. Lovely, but a hair past prime. Drink next 3-4 years.

Fully transparent cherry red. A shade lighter and it would be a Rose. Lovely aroma of Bing cherries. Delicate and precise on the palate with bright fruit notes. Strawberries, moist earth, cherries. Polished tannins, beautiful acidity and balance. Finishes with lingering almost liquid cherry notes. Gorgeous and delicate Pinot Noir. Drink next 4 to 5 years, maybe longer.

Transparent raspberry red color. Spicy strawberry aroma. Refined and precise on the palate, ripe strawberries, raspberries, hint of moist earth. Very fine tannins, lovely bright acidity, fabulous balance. Finishes long and red-fruited, dominated by a refreshing mineral burst. Just lovely. Drink next 4 to 5 years to catch its peak.

PnP. Very enticing nose of violets, cranberry, cinnamon sugar. Palate more forceful than nose, with killer cherry compote, cranberry, and a grilled vegetal note I can’t make more precise because I was just enjoying this too much. Lighter color than I expected. Some reduction. Ample bright acidic tension. Very OR Pinot but a superior example of it, and handled with a light touch. Delicious now but would improve with a few years in the dark. Brilliant light red color. Intense flavors though still painfully young. Mix of cranberry, rasberry and cherry notes. Very pure fruit expression, chalky finish. Lovely elegant Pinot but has concentration and complexity to be a great wine. Needs some time though.

Kelley Fox Wines : 2018 is last vintage of Red Barn as lease ended. Winemaker stated this was her "showiest wine", which is very revealing comment as it speaks to how much of a light touch the rest of her wines have. Decanted for an hour. The first thing this wine shows you is a gorgeous transparent ruby color, so light. The second thing it reveals is the most pretty nose of any wine I've ever drank -- the absolute purest wild strawberries, rose petal, and earth. Red fruits galore on the palate. A stunner. 94pts.
