Cantina Terre Del Barolo Barbera d'Alba Le Terre

PnP. Dark red/purple color. Violets, rust, blood, plums, and alcohol on the nose. Very muted flavor on the palate. Medium minus depth and short finish.

PnP. Dark maroon color with subtle purple hues. Dried cherries with hints of chocolate and perfume on the nose. Light wine with dried cherries on the palate. Not much to this. Not much depth and slightly tart finish. Don’t think this is a wine for aging. The perfume is nice however after being open for a bit.

Nice enough, full bodied barbera with quite a mineral foundation. Nice, but QPR not appealing.

15% Nebbiolo, botti. Deep concentration, complex nose with roses, violets, earth, sour cherry. Acid focused and really complex palate. Not an easy drinking Barbera, this has depth and structure. More winter than summer.

More purple fruit than I like. Not as tart as I prefer. Meh.

Very young, requires a 2 hour decant. Ruby/purple in color. Blackberry, ripe raspberry, strawberry. Strong notes of vanilla, cedar, leather. Rose, baking spices, clay. On the palate, zingy black and red fruit. Lean and acidic. Tannins are present but not overpowering. Medium body. Great QPR.

-color:a deep ruby -Body: by appearance, this wine is a medium body -Aroma: fresh red cherries with hints of orange and strawberries, a little musty tar note -Palate: unripe strawberries, orange peel, cherry, a little earthiness, medium to medium plus tannins, medium acidity, while there isn’t much finish on the back of the mouth, the tannins last on the front for ages.

Lovely young Barbera / Nebbiolo. Nose of cherries and some tar, more cherries and some strawberry on the palate, smooth, tannins resolved. Great with pizza. I intend to buy more from this producer.

Medium (+) ruby color with some transparency. Aromas of dark red and candied red fruits, roses, tar, and a bit of a rubber component that's not my favorite, but it's very subtle, so all in all pretty enjoyable. Medium body, medium (+) acidity, with flavors of cherry, strawberry, plum, a bit of orange peel, and a drying tea-like component on the back end. Pretty good barbera to drink now with pizza.

Rather basic Barbera with some rustic edges. Completely drinkable and food friendly.
