High Pass Winery Scheurebe Late Harvest

Amber color, thick sweet, very like a good Sauterne. Apricots, earthy, nutty. Balanced. Delicious. My bet drink before 2020. Several years ago this wine was not as together. Now on the first day great nose and flavors. I forgot it in the refrigerator closed but without any special preservation 10 (?) days ago. The nose is gone, but the fantastic fruit and balance remain.

Nose of earth and forest floor. This is called Bell Pine, for the red soil in the southern Willamette Valley. A smooth, medium bodied wine, w/soft tannins. Drinking well now, and an absolute steal @$3.99 bottle at a local Beaverton, OR grocery outlet store. 2002 was a tremendous vintage in Oregon, as I recall a winemaker saying, " a deaf and blind winemaker could make good pinot in '02". Tasted in Riedel Oregon pinot noir stemware. Tremendous value.
