Rich buttery and waxy, this had flavours of citrus, nuts and banana seasoned with vanilla and spice. It had aslightly bitter finish and although appearing to be technically well made, lacked finesse. CHP 88pts

A private lunch (Restaurant Gordon Ramsay Plane Food, Terminal 5, Heathrow Airport, UK) : Single vineyard. Pale but intense white gold with green reflections; fresh and minerally nose, citrus and flowers, lemon curd, smoky and waxy but not petrolly; juicy and supple palate, nice weight (13% ABV), fresh but ripe acidity, lovely flavour intensity, harmonious and cool style; good resonance and length.

Never tasted anything like this before - Very Special white - Powerfull yet not full bodied and rich but more narrow, yet not simple. Lots of minerals, some petrol and minerals long aftertaste where semillon finally shows itself more clearly, and just before the palate disappears completely a short whiplash of bitter grapefruit. Accompanied by Sushi, which was definitely not the right choice - The wine dominated far to much over everything, even the pickled ginger.. Really don't know what …

Smells of candied lemon, freshly cut grass and dried tarragon. It is crisp and dry, with nice proportion and a herbal streak that play gently in the background.

Bristol Wine Company In Store Wine Tasting (Bristol Wine Company, Victoria Street, Bristol) : This is the wine I came to taste, and it did not disappoint. I'm usually put off by oak in white wines, but this was heavy on the oak and I loved it. Incredibly nutty, creamy (but not buttery), spicy, barely fruity at all though some citrus-y components come through. Enormous weight - will pair well with bigger dishes than you might expect. Outstanding. £14.95
