Just ok, but cheap enuff for swilling with a steak.

Nothing special here. Best when accompanied by food.

Nothing notable. At or beyond prime. Simple, one dimensional, typically muddy flavored Merlot from north shore of Gironde in Bordeaux. Not complementary with various meats and cheeses. Best with sweet foods (e.g Bourbon flavored chicken), and especially sweet dessert (e.g. Angel food cake with chocolate sauce). Not a fan of Merlot, so one reason this wine did not appeal. From Costco as part of 4 Bordeaux box set, as gift.

Mostly harsh and uninviting, with a few hints of Bordeaux coming through occasionally.

Cost only $8 but I didn't care for it. Empty of flavour.

Has a moldy smell

Off the P&P it was weak but the flavor it had was fine. At the end of the first glass, drinking slowly, it has no taste (except for a little bit of iron?) and tannin. So, tannic water, i guess.

Still very young, but I'm not sure age will overcome the lack of structure. Wine is tight with a short, almost bitter finish. Once again, you get what you pay for.
