Fabulous, well integrated, powerful punch of mature dark fruit. The Grenache is certainly in play here for the blended amount. 66/33 Syrah/Grenache Paired with a beef short rib, excellent . No reason to hold this drink now thru 2024

Fruity and dusty. Not sure this was worth the wait but very enjoyable with homemade pizza.

Dark red. Very ripe slightly roasted vanilla spiced nose. Ripe plum and black cherry flavours and a ripe tannic finish.

Trip vinturied into decant, not backwards now! (See previous notes).. Massive juice, at pinnacle I’d say, the Grenache has a nice hold on this now. Velvet texture with integrated tannins. Paired with chicken couqavin (sp), amazing. Drink it now.-22 I wouldn’t wait though

Richly textured dark berry fruit in combination with a beautiful earthy character make this a palate pleasure trove. This can be consumed with confidence now until about 2022.

Juicy, with cranberry, blackberry, and sweet spice notes. Saturates the palate and delivers a long finish. Drink now.

2 hour decant and it opened up nicely. A bit hot at the end but still really fine. I’ll hold my last one until next year. Glad I bought this and will continue to by this blend as the years go by.

Full-bodied and bursting with juicy dark fruit and spice, complemented by subtle dried herb notes. There’s an alcoholic warmth on the back end, but nothing too hot, and the finish is long and clean. Very nice.

Sadly mine suffered from serious TCA so I just couldn't get over the mildew smell/taste

Dark purple in color, with blueberry, cream, and subtle spice aromas on the nose. The palate is rich and distinctive, with blackberry, red cherry, black cherry and pepper flavors folding into a smooth wine of terrific depth, yet very nicely balanced.

Mid life right now, showing fruit first tannins in the rears-nice btl. Actually more backwards than a year ago?? Aging well no hurry to consume,

seems less evolved than when i tasted it a year ago. Big, deep mixed dark fruit, garrigue, black tea/pepper on the finish. Still a baby.

This is an incredible wine. Being a 2012 vintage, it is still very young as the deep purple color indicates. Although still in its youth, it is very approachable with an intense fruit and soft tannins. On the nose, there is gush of blackberry, plum and lead pencil. Dark berries, smoky meats and black pepper with hints of chocolate coats the palate. This is a full body wine with a very long finish. It has good acidity and should evolve …

Three hour decant. Excellent blend! Both grapes show and with nice balance. Fine tannins suggest aging potential but we enjoyed it now with the decanter time. Score 93-94 range.

Great intense S/G blend, pretty typical of CA rhone blends with big thick aromas of kirsch, cocoa, and char, a rich palate, and velvety purple color. Would do well with another year or two on it. A bit of heat, but no more than any other CA rhone wine I've ever had. Damn well made.

My first Syrah since getting on Limerick's list, and glad I did. I think this is better than other new world Syrahs as it has less of the overt licorice that characterizes so much Syrah. This had serious balance, length and depth and tasted good too. Will get better for a while, so do what you want

I ignored the drink window and popped this years too early. After a couple hour decant it began to show. Wait, or if you must, decant for > 2 hours.

Very good. Nice dark fruit and acidity. I myself didn't feel too hot, but it is on the ripe side. Thoroughly enjoyed. Will check in on my other bottle in a year or two.

good ripe (but not overripe) mixed dark berry with garrigue and a bit of herb and black tea; nice acidity keeps this fresh; this should age well.

who among us can resist the sirens call of a 95 parker point wine for 32 bucks. Immediately my suspicions were confirmed - this wine is an unapologetic new world hedonistic flavor explosion. It's very well made and quite enjoyable, but the heat that goes along with all that can't be ignored. Lavender garrigue blackberry spice. Worth trying but do not expect a northern rhone or even a southern rhone. This is russian river through and through.

Decanted 2hrs, terrific btl, riviling the Torrin juice I consumed a month ago, it was still gaining after 4 hrs open. This is worth finding and trying!
