Chamilly, Santenay Premier Cru, Grand Clos Rousseau

Fresh and bright Santenay, fermented and aged in oak for 12 months, then transferred for another 6 months in steel, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Medium ruby colour. Medium+ intensity aroma of tar, cherries, forest floor, earth, leather, blackcurrant hints. Medium+ body, quite more power than expected yet still showing quite elegant and balanced structure, red fruit flavours, leather and tar notes, medium+ acidity, medium fine tannins.
