55.4% Merlot, 44.6% Cabernet Franc. 15.5% Alc. This is in a very good place right now, showing ripe fruit and polished tannins. The bouquet leans into dark fruit, fruitcake, and subtle spice, while the palate is soft and refined. Well-judged extraction and ripeness make this a standout in today's Quintus line-up. 92-93

Fresh cigar box, cut bramble and licorice on the nose. On the palate, stewed black fruit for sure among the spices. A full bodied wine, long legs and a darkish salmon rim. I think this will go excellently with lamb

Decanted for 3 hours, the first hour, the oak is intense and impenetrable, I thought I had a dud on hands. After a few hours, the oak went away. Some dark fruits, mostly herbal on the nose, a minty touch is in there as well. On the palate, hot hot hot. As you swallow, you can feel the alcohol. And of course, 15.5% alc. There is a bitter herbal after taste. Seems like so much manipulation went in to make …

Quite spicy, with intense notes of flowers, mint, tobacco leaf, cherries, plums, cloves, licorice, espresso, and crushed stone on the nose. Soft, silky, and fresh, the wine is long, vibrant, supple, and finishes with plums, cherries, and a touch of chocolate mint with 5 spice. The Grand Vin, which comes from only 26% of the crop was produced from blending 55% Merlot with 45% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2025-2042.

93 vvPunkte (55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc, 15.5% Alkohol.
