Easy drinking pinot, red fruit, smooth texture. No need to wait.

Translucent red, berry fruit nose, lighter-bodied, and a bit short and sharp relative to other cuvées from this sadly departed winemaker.

Elegant and refined with earthy lean tannins. Mostly red fruit, with some tea and tobacco overtones. Needs a little time.

Very tannic and not much charm. Opened yesterday, but no better today. I do not think this will come around.

Vin Chicago Anniversary Tasting and Sale (Vin Chicago - Highland Park IL) : Tasting, brief note. Rich and robustly spiced, coming across as slightly too "whole cluster" right now with a bit of protruding new oak as well. Probably just needs a year or three in the cellar, because there is also a lot of rich fruit with good concentration while showing good balance and length.

From the tasting room Big dark fruit. Chewy tannins that really persist. Black tea.
