Inky purple color stains the glass ... Very concentrated nose of blackberry and plum with charcoal and anise underneath. Juicy blue and blacks fruits are rounded out by black pepper on the attack. Mid palate was a bit flabby but the finish is strong. Firm tannins are balanced with lush fruit and acidity. Alcohol may seem high.
