Extraordinary Auslese from Ernie Loosen from 50% fully ripe and 50% botrytis grapes at 7.5% ABV. Mineral driven Riesling with nectarines, lemon peel, passion fruit, and brilliant acidity-sweetness balance. Suckling rated 95p, Parker 92p+.

Tasted this wine at the Dr Loosen Wine Dinner: A Night of German Grandeur. The event was organised by Vinicole Asia and 1855 The Bottle Shop and was held at La Brasserie, The Fullerton Bay Hotel. Pale green-gold. Fresh orange, yuzu, with a long lush finish. What was amazing was the restrained sweetness well balanced by the acidity. Wine was paired with a serving of Citrus Yoghurt and Meringue.
