Very solid N Rhone Syrah, some meat and game with crushed violets, plums, slight smoke, a good weight for entry level, aged nicely, only down side was a spritzig that changed the mouthfeel- whether that was Brett or something it took away from the overall balance, let's see what it does with a day of air.

12.5% alcohol. Short Diam3 closure. The colour is bright and quite deep. Lovely nose with wild red berries. The mouth is refreshing with cranberries and significant acidity; good grip as a result. Neither complex nor long, but very successful nevertheless, and superb value at around 9 €. Probably one or two steps behind F Balthazar's CdR that I had recently, but cheaper than the latter.

This medium purple Syrah showed extremely slow set of legs when swirled in the glass. To the nose this wine exuded juicy fruit notes with black cherry & cranberry being the dominant fruit. To the mouth this wine was totally different and came across as a very ordinary simple tasting wine with little body or finish. After decanting for over an hour this wine started to better itself but still would not recommend or buy again in the future. Disappointing …

Noche de Difuntos (Alicante - España) : From an magnum opened when Moses separated the Red Sea. Vertical, sharp, austere and stony on the nose. Book-text syrah with plums and blackcurrants. Acid and very straight in the mouth. Short and without depth. Maybe just needs another time, to be another bottle. De una magnum abierta cuando Moisés separó el Mar Rojo. Vertical, afilado, austero y pedregoso en nariz. Syrah de libro con ciruelas y grosellas negras. Ácido y muy recto …

Crispy and vibrant Syrah. Northern Rhône as it should be with dark berry fruit, a hint of white pepper. A lot of fruit, good structure and acidity. Not very long but very nice pq.

I think that this has deepened a bit since last August and is a lively enjoyable N.Rhone with griotte cherry and ivy tinged fruit and fresh minerals and acidity. Good. Retasted 7/19/2018, I liked it even more finding a dash of pepper which I didn't note before and which added liveliness and complexity.

A bit reductive in the nose. Cherries, stallion and black fruit in the nose. Correct mouthfeel, quit fine for the level. Short aftertaste. Nice drinking wine without being complex.

Clear, medium intensity, ruby color. Youthful but very expressive nose showing textbook, savory Syrah aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, black olive, grounded black pepper, violets, green pepper corns, blood, wet granite and slight wormwood. Medium bodied with vibrant medium(+) acidity and medium tannins. Very fresh and sappy mouthfeel with loads of black fruit, savory spice and violets. Not the most deep or complex wine but a true joy to drink. Very good intensity to the flavors and the finish lingers …

Very classic, lighter-weight northern Rhône Syrah. Clean, savory fruit, spice. Very good for the price of under $15. An authentic expression of the grape and place.

I found this wine to be a little rough on the palate. Great nose, but too soury rough on palate. Not a smooth wine. The same over all 3 bottles.

Attractively refreshing with typical N.Rhône fruit of savoury complexion with sour cherry and grilled meat notes but rather small on the palate and quite short. Good quaffing wine but mediocre QPR for that purpose at €10.
