One-hour decant through a screened and aerating funnel. Big bold plums and chocolate aromas sprang forth during the decant. Some sediment. After resting, wine was clear, and deep ruby. Nose of plums, chocolate, some orange zest. In the mouth: deep and powerful: lots of black fruit, good acid – long finish of chocolate and the zest.
